TREC data method
Historical source observations need source and retrieval timestamps
TREC publishes Texas license-holder information. Mayshore shows the public source date, calculation date, definition, and limits beside each statewide total so readers can judge whether the figure fits their question.

How to read the totals
What do I check before using a TREC total?
- Source
Open the linked TREC page and confirm that it is the public license-holder dataset.
- Date
Use the source date shown and assume that later license changes are not included.
- Definition
Confirm that the question calls for Active license records and the displayed license type.
- Limits
A license count measures records. Full-time and producing agents are different measures. Association membership and teams are separate categories, as are brands.
What TREC can show
What does TREC data not explain?
TREC shows public license and sponsorship information. Measuring transaction production or service quality requires other evidence. Client-record portability and recruiting consent need their own verification. An explanation for a sponsorship change also needs a separate source.
